When Germany was faced with a growing trend of mass shootings and other mass attacks. The leaders of Germany’s version of the CIA (BND), and FBI (BfV) did exactly the opposite of what their American counterparts are doing. Spymasters August Hanning and Gerhard Schindler compiled a secret report without the permission of then German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and the Parliament and leaked it to the public through one of the country’s largest newspapers. Both men had reached the conclusion that the country’s elected officials had betrayed the public, and therefore they had to bypass them and warn the public of the very unsettling truth. That truth was that German elected officials had decided not to stop the mass shootings and mass attacks. The officials and their allies had decided to sacrifice the lives of civilians in order to profit from the attacks both monetarily and politically. Mr. Hanning and Mr. Schindler took their oath to protect the German public from all enemies foreign and domestic literally and took all necessary steps to out the politicians betrayal.
